Programs for children with learning difficulties:

Helping children to understand Mathematics.

The fast paced school curriculum often leaves children with learning difficulties struggling to keep up. Using these path 2 success programs, you will be able to take an active roll in your child’s education. Through valuable personal instruction, time for repetition and discussion, your child can gain confidence in Mathematics.

Children with learning difficulties often learn visually and require instruction in small steps. These programs have been designed so that illustrations are meaningful and can be easily related to. Lessons are carefully sequenced so that connections between concepts can be made.

A strong Mathematical foundation is built through focusing on core skills (place value, fractions, decimals etc.) in the context of related concepts (number operations, measurement, money, time). Developing key skills and number sense is a priority of these programs.

Fractions and Decimals

The fraction and decimal program is a continuation of the number program. Using this, students develop a clear understanding of fractions and decimals in all contexts.

Time

The Time Program develops the concepts of analogue, digital time. All resources have been trialled with pupils who have learning difficulties.

Number, operations and place value

The Number Program develops the concept of digits and place value. Resources have been trialled by parents of children who have learning difficulties.
